The warm summer months never last forever. Soon it’s time to look for a way to bring a little extra warmth into the home and this simple solar heater is a great project to do just that. It’s made of metal cans, steel or aluminum, and can produce a surprisingly strong and consistent airflow upwards of 140F.
Even on a heavy snow day you’re looking at somewhere around 75-85F.
Best of all, this simple project requires just a few common parts and many of them can simply be re-purposed from your regular recycling. Watch the project come together in the fully-detailed video on the NEXT PAGE:
Hope all the cans are Mic lite.
Or Coors LOL
On a good day, with this one, with this putting out as much as possible, exactly what can u power up! Appliances etc?
What a hunckajunk lmao turn you freakin heat on and call it a day
The fun is emptying all thos “Beer” cans don’t ya know!
BTW Berto I grew up with a diaz in detroit in the 50s Hulio (not sure of the spelling we were 12 or so..
Pat Bare If you make one of these let me know! I was reading up on these about a year ago and wanted to build one, but never got around to it. I find it intriguing.
the cans can be replaced with sch 40 black pvc piping… can be used at a window inside or outside through a window making an insulated pass through similar to a window ac unit
Not good for cloudy days like we have in Dec.===In window wind blows and you lose the heat==but might work in garage
like it
I have one in progress
The power company will buy it from him to keep it off the Market
Saw this one earlier. Starting on mine soon. With Radio shack going belly up might be hard to find a solar panel and fan small enough.
