The warm summer months never last forever. Soon it’s time to look for a way to bring a little extra warmth into the home and this simple solar heater is a great project to do just that. It’s made of metal cans, steel or aluminum, and can produce a surprisingly strong and consistent airflow upwards of 140F.
Even on a heavy snow day you’re looking at somewhere around 75-85F.
Best of all, this simple project requires just a few common parts and many of them can simply be re-purposed from your regular recycling. Watch the project come together in the fully-detailed video on the NEXT PAGE:
It does! And a small solar panel could run a fan easily.
Solar power duuuuhh
Instructions do not call for a solar powered fan.
Lay it next to your heat vents and it will work just fine.
If you looked he had a solar panel connected an leaned against the chair so open your eyes duh.
Wow. What a dick
I’m Sorry but can you not just seal a glass box painted black out in the 100 degree sunlight and get the same results…..
I made a 10′ x 10′ and used beer cans. I really had the best time making this but my wife calls me an alcoholic now.
Ricky Smith I heat it with black 55 gallon barrels of water . The sun heats the water by day and the warm water radiates enough warmth for cool season crops all winter long .
“Honey, can you pick up a few more cases of beer? I need to finish the solar heater…” LMAO
