The warm summer months never last forever. Soon it’s time to look for a way to bring a little extra warmth into the home and this simple solar heater is a great project to do just that. It’s made of metal cans, steel or aluminum, and can produce a surprisingly strong and consistent airflow upwards of 140F.
Even on a heavy snow day you’re looking at somewhere around 75-85F.
Best of all, this simple project requires just a few common parts and many of them can simply be re-purposed from your regular recycling. Watch the project come together in the fully-detailed video on the NEXT PAGE:
people will believe anything
Michael Anderson only cool season crops will survive in this greenhouse . It just extends the growing season .
It really works. The key is the fan, too much air flow (my first try) reduces the heat, but it’s still warmer than the outside air. A small PC fan works great, and uses a lot less electricity, and can be solar powered.
Interesting that I get this ?
If you close it in .. Run water through pipes and also air from around the cans= dual heater
It works dude ,some people don’t know what or when to believe.
Why hasn’t some solar company or other company manufactured these yet?
Ding, ding!
Marshall K May. Thought of you
because you still need power to run the fan in the back its not really solar power it is just free source of heat for like a chicken coop or a very small area still works good
Solar heater, yet you have to have a power source for the fan. Duuuuhh.
