Manipulate steel and make your own tools with this soup can forge, which heats up past 2000 degrees.
All the materials you need to make this very simple forge is:
– Soup can
– Plaster of Paris
– Sand
– Blow torch (Mapp gas, which burns hotter than regular propane, is best)
– A board
– A few nuts, bolts, washers and a couple L brackets

I made mine out of a heavy duty brake drum and use coal. It gets hit enough to melt the steel. Although using a hair dryer as a blower it doesn’t get hot enough to weld. I need to use a stronger blower. I have been able to make knives and twist wrought iron. It’s fun but you also need a good anvil. Cheap ones and railroad task gets damaged from striking the steel. Using a combination of old school blacksmithing and modern techniques like mig welding the sky is the limit
That’s genius,definitely gonna try this!
