A former active-duty Marine who served two combat tours in Iraq was recently suspended and labeled a threat to himself and other students after he requested to meet with a non-Muslim counselor.
A senior at Mississippi College, disabled student veteran Jeremy Rawls states that it wasn’t that he didn’t want to participate in counseling, but that he didn’t want to traumatize the counselor, who wore traditional Muslim dress during his initial visit to the office.

Our vets have rights. The other muslim killed a lot of people at Fort Hood. You don’t realize what they have gone through dealing with the muslims and their cruelty and their part in the war. He put it out there so that it would not be a possibility. Vets with PTSD often cannot tolerate seeing a muslim woman, for example, without thinking she has an IED under her robe. I don’t care that it is America, their fears are real.
