A white Detroit firefighter ran into some problems when he brought some fruit into work instead of some glucose-laden donuts. While most folks would just be thankful for a snack and grab some artery clogging snacks on their time, this 90% African-American station saw things differently.
Robert Pattinson, 41, was excited to introduce himself to the other firefighters at Engine 55 on the corner of Joy and Southfield in Detroit. Per custom, he brought along a welcoming gift on his first day on the job
Second Battalion Chief Shawn McCarty calls this welcome gift “a tradition” for Engine 55’s firefighters.
But, some of the other firefighters saw things differently. Things went downhill fast when they realized his “welcoming gift” was really just a bold declaration that he was a “racist”. Continue to the next page to learn how a piece of fruit ruined a white firefighter’s career and what all went down when this supposed act of aggression was reported.

Libtards carry on constantly about hunger. This guy brings food to work and the Libtards fire him ????????
I don’t believe this for one min. People trying to stir the hate pot.
That’s fucked up, you want racist I’ll bring along with the watermelon some fried chicken, collard greens, fried okra, grape Kool-Aid, and some good old Colt 45. How’s that for racist?
Well I won’t be serving any Aunt Jemmia pan cakes to these losers fundraiser.
Never put a bow on it unless it’s someone’s birthday…and seedless is best. make sure it’s cold too!
Ha ha Scotty Moubry III Colonel Sanders was not Black! And he didn’t have a plantation where he kept slaves and fed them fried chicken made with a secret recipe.
So tired of the crybabies! The only one racist is the black man that was whining about the watermelon! You should be the one fired!
I know the stereotype that black people like watermelons, but come on this is taking PC a little too far. If I was this fire fighter I sue the city of Detroit for wrongful dismissal.
Scotty Moubry III Col. Harland Sanders was not a black man. If you watch the old KFC commercials from before 1980, that elderly gentlemen you see is the actual Col. Sanders. You can see quite clearly he is not a black man.
This stupidity is giving me a headache..
