Sunday’s forcible removal of a passenger from a United Airlines flight prior to departure has caused an international uproar and public relations nightmare for the airline and its chief executive officer.
CEO Oscar Munoz initially backed the decision to remove the paying passenger to make room for a United crew that needed to get to its next stop.
But as outrage spread across the media, calls for Munoz’s ouster grew and public attention was focused on airline practices on overbooking.
Find out how Munoz is trying to weather the storm and restore the reputation of the airline on the next page.

Lylliam M Nater Hishands ares not lilly white cleanact-UA informed him at check in they were overbooked. and he could be asked to leave…fact2- being the typical liberal whiny$#%&!@*he created a scene, even hitting out at agents. fact 3- he leaves calls attorney and then returns to plane fact 4-they dragged his$#%&!@*out causing head to hit the side arm rest he FAKES UNCONSCIOUSNESS as who hold on tightly to their cell phone if they are truly unconscious? fact 5- days later he’s still hanging out in hospital as if he’s half dead while hiring the best money happy lawyer he can find..fact6- the agents did not work for United that did this..Actually they were security from Chicago Aviation, hired by city of Chicago..so he sues 3 different corporation for billions. yes my head hurts too over the fact this man was just as belligerent and helped cause his issue.. you got a jack arese won’t leave a airplane causing this kind of scene, he should be arrested also and never allowed to fly.
F**k United. They deserve the downfall of their company that is surely happening…
We agree to those policies because we have no choice. Not because we think it is right.
Exactlty. But they are still agreed to. he knew there was a possibility it could happen. He didn’t need to ignore their requests. If he had listened he woudnt have been taken off by law enforcement. And if he wasnt throwing a tantrum he wouldnt be bloodied. End of fucking story. Now maybe you snowflake fucks should get off this conservative page before your sick way of thinking makes me sick
CEO’s career will rise or fall as United stock value moves. Right now,he’s a little shaky.
He was in the hospital because of the extent of his injuries, not because he was “milking it.” It isn’t really clear if thos thuggish airport cops had the authority to be on the plane. ❝A passenger dragged from a United Express flight suffered a “significant” concussion and broken nose, and he lost two front teeth, one of his lawyers said Thursday.
Dr. David Dao has been discharged from a hospital but he will require reconstructive surgery, said attorney Thomas Demetrio, whose law firm is representing the 69-year-old Kentucky physician.❞ http://abc7.com/travel/doctor-dragged-off-united-flight-suffered-concussion-broken-nose/1869113/

Bruce Clark yes i read that before and the lawyer’s report had not come out Where is the hospital spokesman and what do they say…. I consider this like the thug who attacks the cop, gets the hell beat out of him and then cries police brutality.. What they did was wrong but what he did was just as wrong. I’d not trust what the lawyer says as I never knew many unconscious people who keep holding their cell phone without dropping it while being dragged and ten after being beaten so badly comes back on the plane and runs down the isles. Did you see that video..I will still wait for the REAL authorities to tell us what happened and not rumors running wild. personally out of this I hope that congress changes the DOT rules that ONLY airlines can make reservations and they can not overbook after this scene..
The one thing nobody talks about is there were 4 passages to be bumped 3 got up peacefully 1 did not … for whatever reason that doesn’t really matter, a rational person would have left the plane and taken up the dispute off the plane. And now he is milking it for maximum benefits, just seems fishy to me
