Dems Planned All Along to Exclude Republican Involvement in Impeachment

The device first utilized against the president was the accusations that he was corrupt because of his former business dealings internationally.  The Democrats launched allegation after allegation that his dealings abroad BEFORE his presidency would be cause for concern because they could potentially weight his decisions favorably for one nation with whom he had business with, while unfavorably weight his decisions toward another nation for whom he had no special business interests.  This of course was peppered liberally with charges that his children, who were already successful in their own rights, were also going to be a problem due to the fact that they, too, would be able to benefit from their father sitting in the Oval Office.

Vanity Fair:

On Thursday, five Democratic senators announced a bill they plan to release next month that would require Trump to divest assets that could pose a conflict of interest, according to Politico. The bill, put forward by Elizabeth Warren, Dick Durbin, Chris Coons, Ben Cardin, and Jeff Merkley, would require the president-elect to put the proceeds of the sale in a blind trust (the true definition of which does not mean merely handing “business operations” to one’s children, despite what Trump has said). The legislation would symbolically make violations of federal conflict-of-interest rules “a high crime or misdemeanor under the impeachment clause of the U.S. Constitution.”

Take note:  This is the first mention of impeachment and Donald Trump is still a full month from being sworn in as the nation’s 45th President.

Within weeks of the election loss by Clinton, the Resistance was outfitted in full armor and weapons, ready to sally forth to battle on behalf of the Establishmentariat powers that be.  Senator Elizabeth Warren, who had already dipped her toe into the waters for the presidency earlier and then withdrew to give the queen her shot at the throne, got together with Trump-haters Dick Durbin, Chris Coons and Jeff Merkley to begin drafting this bill that would force Trump’s hand to divest himself of his business dealings, while also possibly forcing public interest through faux unconstitutional claims that he had not divulged his tax return information and that, somehow, that must disqualify him (or at the very least delegitimize him) from claiming the presidency.  How Ben Cardin got swept up into all of this is a mystery.  His down-the-middle Blue Dog Democrat attitude (which is an extremely rare animal these days) would have normally precluded his involvement in something like this.  Be that as it may, the five penned this bill and it was put forward by the senators in a bid to make the transition into the White House as painful and convoluted as it could possibly be.

The entire practice here had other underlying meaning, however.  Warren, who just recently met with Hillary Clinton to talk politics and get fashion advice, was not just talking about the weather.  It is vitally important that both Warren and Hillary have been speaking recently, in light of what has been occurring with this seemingly sudden, out-of-right-field impeachment call by Pelosi.  Both Warren, who penned this bill way back in 2016, and Hillary who is one of the leaders of the Resistance movement, have perhaps had this mode of governance in mind all along.  Perhaps, impeachment, as the article obviously implies, was the objective since Day One.
