For years, liberal politicians have attempted to grow the power of government while quietly taking rights away from everyday Americans. In their latest power grab, residents in Colorado are now being told that they don’t even have the right to store rainwater that lands on their property.
That’s right. The same party that thinks that sex-change operations and taxpayer-funded abortions are fundamental rights thinks that water is not.
Their goal is simple. By stripping away fundamental resources and transferring them to the government, the Democratic party intends to make a populace so reliant on big government, that citizens have no choice but to submit themselves to its demands.
Of course, there is no law saying that storing rainwater is illegal — that would be absurd — but that hasn’t stopped Democrats in Colorado from claiming the water is theirs, anyway. The law, it seems, only matters when it benefits government. When it gets in the government’s way, it can simply be ignored.
See how the Republicans are fighting back against this ludicrous assertion on the next page:
Bury the tank
Haha funny I’m neither liberal if a stuff shirt conservative but if you think for a min conservatives got your back and the environments back then your smoking some really good weed conservatives will rape u then tell you you have to have their baby liberals will just cry for no reason
AND, if you research the story, you will find that this has NOTHING to do with people that collect rainwater for gardening. It was started over a man that built a damn on his property to increase the size of his personal reservoir to the disadvantage of the people down-stream from him. Just like in the old westerns.
It WILL be discovered the the federal government owns the air.
Ultimately it will start a civil war
Not true Roveet. A man in Oregon just was tried foe colkecting rainwater and now serving 30 days in jail!! Ridiculous!!
I think in that particular case, it wasn’t about the collection of rainwater from a roof, but digging catchment dams. This would significantly affect his neighbors. This is very different from the 100 gallon water barrel exemption that did not make it through the Colorado legislature. Barely enough for one watering of a 100 sq ft vegetable patch! I really due have a 2600 gallon collection system right here in Portland.
Well first the Federal govt wants you to be evironment friendly so you stop using the city provided coal powered electricity and city supplied clean floride treated water! And now when the city start’s losing money because of it they decide WAIT A MINUTE, if everybody does this like the feds wants we lose money!
I’m reading this, and all I can think is where are the republicans?, looking at the list of seated politicians in Colorado, there is no way this happens without there approval and blessing.
Sure it’s easy for us to set back and blame the democrats for our problems, but I’m wondering where my representatives are?, I have become very disillusioned by the lack of response at all levels of government by the GOP,
Are you sure? I saw him with a waste size barrel that they said he could not use.. I can be wrong on this. But still jail time? For that?? Come on…We can’t get govt officials thrown in jail for a multitude of sins!!
