For years, liberal politicians have attempted to grow the power of government while quietly taking rights away from everyday Americans. In their latest power grab, residents in Colorado are now being told that they don’t even have the right to store rainwater that lands on their property.
That’s right. The same party that thinks that sex-change operations and taxpayer-funded abortions are fundamental rights thinks that water is not.
Their goal is simple. By stripping away fundamental resources and transferring them to the government, the Democratic party intends to make a populace so reliant on big government, that citizens have no choice but to submit themselves to its demands.
Of course, there is no law saying that storing rainwater is illegal — that would be absurd — but that hasn’t stopped Democrats in Colorado from claiming the water is theirs, anyway. The law, it seems, only matters when it benefits government. When it gets in the government’s way, it can simply be ignored.
See how the Republicans are fighting back against this ludicrous assertion on the next page:
So now according to the Obama blind followers are saying they now are the controllers of the sky, the clouds and whatever falls out of them onto private property? Pretty soon we will be told we do not own the land under our feet, houses etc. This is power beyond our American’s personal rights and developed under Obama.
If you think this is wrong, you better think twice, because Hillary will continue the same way!
Vote wisely and think twice! Think about America’s future!
I will store as much rain water as God sees fit to give to me. I will also grow my own food and take advantage of every resource that God has given me to live . I don’t care what ANY polician says about it
It’s a good I belong to the group that doesn’t give a s**t
Not everyone captures that small am’t. of water depending on roof size or no. Of containers. There is more space receiving rain than getting caught and reused mostly on plants. It then goes back into the ground when there is no rain. Bet it serves the plants much better this way and still ends up in the ground.
This is just another stupid way to get more control of the populous.
Should just go after the large cities where not much gets to the ground, just evaporates on all the roofs doing no good at all!
oregon already did this. we no longer have the freedom we think we do !
This is more fascist propaganda from ” Truth and Action”. This guy never quits with his mischaracterizations. The laws in Colorado concerning rain water harvesting have been on the books for years. No one is taking anyones rights away from them, rather, the legislature is debating enacting a law to allow home owners to do just that. Colorado being an area that has a drought problem manages their water. There is no conspiracy here. This is a continuing tactic from this propagandist. Consider the source and check the facts before you buy into any commentary from this site.
Pretty stupid if you ask me. Farmers stored rainwater for decades
Colorado folks better wake up! Unemployment big time will follow if Crooked Hillary takes office.
total b******t
If it takes lawmakers to say catching rainwater on your own property is ok, your state is doing it (natural rights) wrong. If your perspective is that existing law covering this is a reasonable justification, then you have succumbed to the Orwellian system of values.
Laws that were on the books for decades also proscribe that interracial marriage and oral sex were both felonies, just not heavily enforced. Cuz if so, eeeeeeevryone I know is a felon.
