Alabama state Rep. John Rogers responded to criticism that had been leveled at him by Donald Trump Jr. by saying that Trump’s “mother should’ve aborted him” – generating backlash on top of backlash.
This is stomach curling and makes Ralph Northam look like a moderate on abortion.
Every Democrat running for President needs to be asked where they stand on this. The extreme turn we've seen from Dems on abortion recently is truly sickening. https://t.co/KchZfqvQMK

Rogers fired back at Trump Thursday saying, “That’s an honor. Thank God. Right on … Him being born is the very good defense that I have for abortion. His mother should’ve aborted him when he was born, and then he wouldn’t have made that stupid statement.”
“He’s retarded or crazy, Donald Trump’s son. I knew he was crazy. The best defense I’ve got for abortion right there, looking at him,” Rogers said.
“That proves I’m right to make a scene about abortion. Him being born, that’s proof right there,” he said. “Him being born, that’s a very, very good defense I have for abortion.”
Rogers said that Trump Jr.’s mother, Ivana Trump, “should have aborted him when he was born and he wouldn’t have made that stupid statement, right?”
“He’s evidently retarded. Uh, crazy. Donald Trump’s son, I know there’s something wrong with that boy,” Rogers said.
Democratic Alabama Sen. Doug Jones once served as Rogers’ attorney and was one of three Senate Democrats that broke with their party to vote in favor of the GOP-led Abortion Survivors Born Alive Act.
Democratic Alabama Sen. Doug Jones took a bold stance against his own former client, Democratic Alabama State Rep. John Rogers, on Thursday after Rogers suggested Donald Trump Jr. should have been aborted.
“The rhetoric of Rep. John Rogers gets more appalling each time he speaks. He does not speak for the people of Alabama and is in fact offending all Alabamians with his crude and reprehensible comments,” Jones tweeted.
