Barack Obama has always been a power-hungry executive. After a Republican congress finally began denying Obama his agenda in 2014, the president’s true character was revealed. Rather than compromise with congressional Republicans — like his Democrat predecessor Bill Clinton — Obama instead began to rule by executive order.
But there is one area in which Obama seems fine ceding power — when the authority would be transferred to another country or the global community.
Obama may want an all-powerful federal government, but he’s more than comfortable letting America’s position as the world’s premier superpower diminish before his eyes.
Now, Obama is poised to surrender the internet to the ‘global community’ — a move that seems to be happening at the tech industry’s urging — see how much time we have left before the Internet is lost to the United Nations:
He is a TRAITOR AND CONGRESS DOES NOTHING TO STOP HIM!
Don’t let him do it,the traitor !!!
Received my answer back from Representative Mike Kelley. Will share.

Dear Mrs. Picard,
Thank you for contacting me to express your concern regarding the Obama administration’s announcement that it intends to relinquish control over critical functions of the Internet. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue.
As you may know, the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced that it intends to relinquish control of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The NTIA declared its intent “to transition key Internet domain name functions to the global multistakeholder community” and that as “the first step,” ICANN must now “convene global stakeholders to develop a proposal to transition the current role played by NTIA.”
For years, the United States has served as steward over these critical functions, providing reliability and certainty to Internet users – from individuals to businesses – in every corner of the globe, and upholding values of freedom of speech and freedom of markets. However, with this announcement, the Obama administration has helped to create an opening for Russia, China, and other authoritarian regimes to reshape the Internet according to their liking. This is unacceptable.
In response to these developments, on May 25, 2016, I introduced H.R. 5329, the Securing America’s Internet Domains Act. This legislation would require NTIA to extend the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions contract unless it certifies that the U.S. government has secured sole ownership of the gov and mil top-level domains. In addition, on May 12, 2015, I introduced H.R. 2251, the Defending Internet Freedom Act of 2015. This legislation would prohibit NTIA from relinquishing the critical functions of the Internet to any other entity without enhanced congressional oversight and until every freedom-protecting accountability requirement defined in the bill is completely satisfied. Finally, on September 8, 2016, I introduced House Resolution 853, which would authorize the Speaker of the House to sue the Obama administration if it follows through with its plan to let our country’s stewardship of the Internet expire. I introduced this resolution because I believe that as a nation, we have a duty to preserve Internet freedom for Americans and for the world.
Again, thank you for contacting me regarding this important issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me or my staff if I can be of assistance in the future. It is an honor and privilege to serve Western Pennsylvania in the United States Congress.
