The American people have made it abundantly clear that they want the system of government envisioned by the Founding Fathers, but the country remains mired in the practices that characterize our modern, statist government.
Originally, the United States was intended to uphold individualist values, as evidenced by the repeated references to the rights of citizens to, among other things, freedom of speech, religion, and self-defense in the constitution. The idea was that by building upon this blueprint, we would be able to work towards a perfect understanding of liberty.
Today, however, nothing could be further from the truth: the power of government, which is expressly circumscribed in the country’s founding documents, is virtually unrestrained. Regulation is out of control and law enforcement is able to behave as it sees fit. Fortunately, it seems that many are finally fed up with this authoritarian state of affairs.

We have traffic cameras in Baton Rouge. You get a ticket in the mail with a link to video of the violation. If you want to contest, there is a form to download. However, if you say you weren’t driving, you have to name the person who was. It’s really no different than a parking ticket.
Denise Copper there was a guy that was 4 miles out of town and had to pull over on the side of the highway cause it shut his truck down. Then a state trooper pulled up and told him he can either pay the fine driving longer than the E-log allowed or he could pay a fine for being a hazard on the highway. It makes no sense to me.
This is a money maker in Chicago. Many residents that have homes on these streets where the cameras tie up the flow of traffic and someone always gets stuck in the middle of a 4 way light…almost guaranteed income with every traffic light.
Relax people. It won’t be too long before they deem these cameras “Racist” and then they’ll get shut down in a hurry. 🙂
sorry. anything you do in public you do not have any expectation of privacy….period.
Selmer Tennessee!
I’ve just researched this case and I see nothing about the case being overturned. It does say the village is arguing paying back all the money because doing so would bankrupt the village. Please cite your sources if you’re confident that you are correct.
