Florida’s Third District Court of Appeals has just made a landmark ruling that the Institute for Justice is calling “a major blow to property rights.”
Tom Carroll and Hermine Ricketts, 17-year homeowners, have been fighting the Village of Miami Shores for the last 6 years. The battle ended in a verdict after 3 years but they fought on. It all started back in 2014 when the couple refused to take the “advice” handed down to them by the town officials keen on implementing a new zoning plan.
The homeowners refused to relinquish their constitutionally protected rights. That is when town officials resorted to plan b.
The couple subsequently sued based on a constitutional infringement upon their right to use their own private property as well as a violation of the equal protection clause.

Dear citizens, I hope you are paying attention. In November of 2018, there will be 33 congressional seats and all seats in the House of Representatives up for election. These are the idiots that appoint judges like this. Please use your votes to continue to drain the swamp and put this country back in the hands of the people!
You know what happens when people keep breaking these stupid laws to the point that they can’t enforce it. They change them. Stand for your rights America stop worring about getting into trouble and start taking a stand on nonsense like this. F#@k them!
Incremental tyranny, this is what the founding fathers feared. We have recourse, but it must be exercised. We need to start by assisting those who are attempting to reduce the size of government and resisting ANY attempt to increase it.
“VICTORY GARDENS” is what they were called back during World War II and those of us who were very poor were able to survive on the produce from the garden, corn that grown into corn meal, pecans from the pecan trees, figs from the fig bushes, and eggs from the Rhode Island Red Chickens in the backyard and fried chicken sometime on Sundays. We were encouraged to be self-sufficient as if we didn’t already know that to be mandatory; my parents. born in 1002 and 1910, have lived in a shack during the grat depresion
GREAT DEPRESSION . . . and during that terrible time, their firstborn who lived only for 9 months died of malnutrition lived only 9 months.
“1984” has come to pass in the days of our current day of these years of 2000.
Our three offspring are in their mid 40’s and earl 50’s with no Grandchildren to be concerned about having to live in this totally evil world of this day.
We, therefore, look forward to their being a PreTribulation Rapture that will deliver us from this world that is becoming more evil by the minute.
