Law enforcement in Eugene, OR have stated they will forcibly draw blood on anyone refusing a breathalyzer this coming July 4th weekend.
Of course, drunk driving is a very serious matter. But do you agree that law enforcement can take such physical action against someone not yet convicted of a crime when they can still detain you by giving less intrusive tests, just as they have done for years?
the comment contradicts the question.it says forcibly draw blood if they refuse a breathalyzer. im no lib and im not for police state, but if u refuse Breathalyzer u are pretty much asking to get ur blood drawn.i have a good idea don’t drink and drive,if u run into a roadblock, blow in their little machine and be on ur way.
I SAY WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET EM OFF THE ROAD, I WAS A DRUNK DRIVER MANY TIMES, AND WAS ARRESTED MANY TIMES, AND HAD BLOOD DRAWN A COUPLE OF TIMES, SO I FEEL NO MERCY FOR THESE PEOPLE, GOOD FOR THE LAW.
Make the cars have in them test blood before starting it .
ONCE AGAIN OVER STEPING THE LAW…
NO WY!! Oregon is now a Military state.
Good for them. Now they can get those driving on drugs.
Texas has been doing it for years. Don’t drink and drive and you don’t have to worry.
Now things are seeming to get a little bit weird. How is this OK to anybody? I don’t want anybody who isn’t certified sticking me with a needle. And what is your recourse if you get an infection or get Hepatitis or another disease? Slippery slope and they are opening themselves up for lawsuits!!
THEN YOU 2 IDIOTS WOULDNT MIND ME DRAWING YOUR BLOOD, I’LL USE THIS DIRTY AIDS INFECTED NEEDLE..
i would take up my second amendment to protect myself against needles… I’m a needle aphobic. it takes a very certain and prepared state of mind to maybe even give blood once, every 5 years.
