Law enforcement in Eugene, OR have stated they will forcibly draw blood on anyone refusing a breathalyzer this coming July 4th weekend.
Of course, drunk driving is a very serious matter. But do you agree that law enforcement can take such physical action against someone not yet convicted of a crime when they can still detain you by giving less intrusive tests, just as they have done for years?
THAT’S BULL $#%&!@* !!!!
” NOT ” !!!
Kyle your argument is amateurish and fails to address the point.
If you refuse to take the test, you forfeit your administrative privilege to operate a vehicle. That does not subject you to an automatic and unconstitutional search and seizure.
You still live in America and in America we have a constitutional protection under the forth amendment from unreasonable searches without a warrant and protection under the fifth amendment from compelled self incrimination.
I was a cop for 13 years, it is the sworn oath of law enforcement to uphold our constitutional rights, not circumvent them as is the case here.
Going too too far Mr. law
Glad I don’t drink—but after seeing this will not travel to the police state of Oregon.
They can’t do that!
You wouldn’t draw my blood!!!!!
I would have my lawyers number handy!
This is wrong
Very wrong, I myself have lost consciousness and needed to be revived from phlebotomy.
