Law enforcement in Eugene, OR have stated they will forcibly draw blood on anyone refusing a breathalyzer this coming July 4th weekend.
Of course, drunk driving is a very serious matter. But do you agree that law enforcement can take such physical action against someone not yet convicted of a crime when they can still detain you by giving less intrusive tests, just as they have done for years?
Thats intusive and illegal !
illegal
so very wrong!
Are these guardians of the law trained phlebotomists? Are they working under the supervision of an MD, DO, or APRN? Or are we being fed a line of c**p, and the truth is a safer method of blood draw will be used. And in light of our august SCOTUS, what about the religious objection of Jehovah’s Witnesses against messing with blood?
NO!
so very wrong an i hope they have a docters lic
No way. Law suit time!!
I’m totally against this for the same reason I’m pro choice: It’s MY BODY and my government doesn’t have the right to control it, which includes taking my blood without my permission.
Why bother with intoxicated people? This country does nothing with the drug cartel smuggling drugs in!
I do not agree with a forcibly done blood draw or anything done by force for that matter. If I were a lawyer I would be all over that. That is unconstitutional
