Law enforcement in Eugene, OR have stated they will forcibly draw blood on anyone refusing a breathalyzer this coming July 4th weekend.
Of course, drunk driving is a very serious matter. But do you agree that law enforcement can take such physical action against someone not yet convicted of a crime when they can still detain you by giving less intrusive tests, just as they have done for years?
Yes. I agree completely. I have seen family’s laying on the road with sheets over them and the drunk driver standing near them saying, well there goes my CDL.
this is illegal
Mike young .. You talk a line of c**p. Come kick my ass. I’ll draw blood from your eyes with a taser. After I beat your guts out your mouth.
Eric looks like you have some experience.
Good. As long as there is probable cause and confirmed by a medical doctor I have no problem with it. Keep the drunks off the road, the one that slips away may be the one who kills your loved one.
They can involuntarily draw blood if there is a fatality. I have held the scumbags down while blood was drawn. The sad part was he only did 3 years.
Stan must be a typical cop or wanna be
Gary that is the way experienced law officers see it. Often.
Yea. 22 years in the Army eightteen and a half years as a deputy. I would say I’m a typical law enforcement officer
They need warrants which are not hard to get if you have a Judge on standby. Perfectly legal.
