Gun owners have to be extra careful these days to avoid not only incurring the wrath of overzealous law enforcement but playing into the hands of the anti-gun crowd as well.
Case in point is Guo Shou, a Queens man who was taken into police custody after authorities exercised a warrant to search his apartment and found a massive arsenal in it. What they found was enough weapons and ammo to “take on a small army”, per Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
Among his inventory were 14 legally-obtained handguns, 2 licensed and loaded shotguns, 1 licensed rifle and around 45,000 rounds of ammo for any number of weapons. He was also found to be in possession of parts that could be assembled into an AR-10 or AR-15 assault rifle as well as several pieces of Kevlar body armor.
While all of Shou’s equipment was legally acquired, police claimed that he failed to store it properly, thus necessitating his arrest.

Ed Woods 45,000 rounds is way more than I have, wish I had more.
This guy registered all of his weapons and was apparently law-abiding. Screwed by the government anba
The title of the article misrepresents what happened, they didn’t arrest him for the ammo, they arrested him for illegal weapons after going there on a pistol permit review.
what do you expect ? this is in NY
1. what crime was he charged with? None as far as I can see 2. All guns were legal, there is NO law on how many you can have. 3. said he could get seven years if convicted. Convicted of what? THIS STORY IS TOTAL B******T!
Get real 45,000 rounds in a small apartment can be very dangerous to the other tenants. If there was a fire, the ammunition became unstable, etc. Have you ev er seen the population density in New York City.
Massive arsenal? In some states that is considered small. I mean really, That’s just a normal ammount of guns
FUCKING NAZIS!!
Karl Ford That’s not true. Go look up the case. I did. They charged him with reckless and dangerous in addition to the weapons charges. But their public statements go against the whole purpose of licensing. Why did they keep letting him by more and more guns if they were concerned about that? They licensed him every time … until they decided to pounce on him. Looks like entrapment to me. Plus only one of the four articles I read claimed that he had been arrested for an illegal weapon. Are the cops unable to count up to some number less than 20, before they decide what to charge someone with? If he has more guns than licenses, then yeah, that’s a good indication that he broke the law, but the police don’t seem to be able to get their story straight.
Steve Bozich I don’t remember seeing any charges regarding storage — only propagandistic public comments about it.
