Gun owners have to be extra careful these days to avoid not only incurring the wrath of overzealous law enforcement but playing into the hands of the anti-gun crowd as well.
Case in point is Guo Shou, a Queens man who was taken into police custody after authorities exercised a warrant to search his apartment and found a massive arsenal in it. What they found was enough weapons and ammo to “take on a small army”, per Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
Among his inventory were 14 legally-obtained handguns, 2 licensed and loaded shotguns, 1 licensed rifle and around 45,000 rounds of ammo for any number of weapons. He was also found to be in possession of parts that could be assembled into an AR-10 or AR-15 assault rifle as well as several pieces of Kevlar body armor.
While all of Shou’s equipment was legally acquired, police claimed that he failed to store it properly, thus necessitating his arrest.

Karl Ford Got a loader? I pick up a bit of ammo every trip to town. A box here, a brick there. It adds up. .22 is hard to find these days. I’m used to buying it by the case when it is cheapest.
So wrong
First of all, this guy wasn’t a United States citizen – he was Chinese, supposedly in the process of becoming a citizen. And no, Kevlar armor isn’t a weapon, but why would any normal gun owner need Kevlar armor unless they were planning an act of terrorism, or planning to sell the armor to terrorists??
You don’t need armor in order to go deer hunting or to protect your family from burglars, nor do you need fully automatic clips, or assault rifles, all of which this fellow had. Moreover, the 1/8 TON of gunpowder in his apartment was improperly stored, which posed an explosion/fire hazard to the entire building.
Too much ammo? That’s like saying one can’t have too much water in a nuclear reactor!!
This person is not a citizen of the UK he is now a “subject” of the government of the UK!!
well look were it happened at the peoples republic of new york
That’s a typical home owner here in Arizona !!! lol
pure BS, another government plot, limiting how much ammo we can have? Wth, you know what that is all about, no ammo, no can shoot your firearms, very clever, but, that will not stop us assholes
sounds fishy to me. did he have a bunch of black powder or something?
So your saying it would not be a good thing to have body armor if something were to go bad? Like you said a mass attack? Would you not want to have your family in it? What harm would it do to anyone? Also you trusted me with those very things when I fought those people in the first place. Why now when I return to US soil am I not allowed to have any of it? I think if your going to take away these weapons from retired military you should do the same for retired police as well.
