Gun owners have to be extra careful these days to avoid not only incurring the wrath of overzealous law enforcement but playing into the hands of the anti-gun crowd as well.
Case in point is Guo Shou, a Queens man who was taken into police custody after authorities exercised a warrant to search his apartment and found a massive arsenal in it. What they found was enough weapons and ammo to “take on a small army”, per Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
Among his inventory were 14 legally-obtained handguns, 2 licensed and loaded shotguns, 1 licensed rifle and around 45,000 rounds of ammo for any number of weapons. He was also found to be in possession of parts that could be assembled into an AR-10 or AR-15 assault rifle as well as several pieces of Kevlar body armor.
While all of Shou’s equipment was legally acquired, police claimed that he failed to store it properly, thus necessitating his arrest.

There are no laws pertaining to how much ammo or guns you can have as long as you aquire them legally. There arresting in in Violation of the Constitution, ” There will be a well regulated Militia” The story did claim he had enough to take on a small army, This guy just wants to be ready when the time comes.
Ammo is not a danger. Do research on smokeless powder.
Curtis Mick Oh, okay, Curtis. I didn’t realize you were the moderator of this FB thread. Please explain what it is I don’t know about this subject. And please explain what “well regulated” means and how the Constitution protects Mr. Shou’s right to have explosives and unregistered firearms in his apartment. Thanks.
So you are saying the article is incorrect. it says nothing about any unlicensed weapons. Not to mention licensing of weapons is illegal and a violation of the Constitution.
Curtis you are name calling fool. You think it is responsible to store 200 lbs of powder in various containers in a living area? Liberal hahahaha. Tale a moment and look at my profile.
I did read it—- if he’s in his home where does it state he can’t have his weaponry out in plain sight?? maybe he was polishing them? as far as reloading material/equipment if it’s out on a bench just shows he’s expecting a very bad day at where ever he shoots due to sloppy reloading practices. And where does it say the amount of ammo 1 can be in possession of at 1 time? powder maybe a limit due to fire dept. if he’s home and present why does he have to have his weapons locked up? what happened to “A man’s castle is his home”? maybe he knows someone in the powder business and he got a super good deal before the gun grabbers and or politicians were making noise about more bull $hit regulations and laws instead of enforcing what’s already on the books.. again if he bought all his stuff legally and is “licensed” unless he’s guilty of dangerous house keeping — someone got 2 feathers in their hat for confiscating legally owned items.. IMO cops could say anything to make something stick… so asking again — what’s next instead of 1 person being hassled it’s a block of homes?? or bigger?? government likes unarmed people especially ones who don’t pay attention to what slips out imagine what they don’t tell you?? you could very well be next….. history always repeats itself due to people not paying attention and allowing government to grow in unhealthy directions such as presently the excuse in the w.h. now and his band of marry law breakers– see no evil — hear no evil — speak no evil– and it’s always someone else s fault when they get caught
Also, anyone who believes he needs 45,000 rounds of ammo has serious mental health issues and actually needs psychological counseling.
Ok lets break this down then, How does Body armor hurt anyone? Is it a offensive weapon of any kind?
Powder in and of itself does not fire a projectile. IE a bullet. How can you say that by itself is a weapon? What law says to much is to much? When you find it you tell me. Because I would remind you we would not even be a Nation if it were not for a battle where a woman yes a woman under fire from the British went out to a shed and got black powder under fire for the militia.
45,000 rounds of ammo are in stores all the time in cardboard boxes. Nobody seams to care. In fact I bet walmart has that in one store. So why is it your emotions over rule this mans rights as a US citizen?
