Watch this video as a man, Andre Stockett, defends his rights at a routine traffic stop and police try everything they can to make him yield, even threatening to take their 2 week old baby to Child Protective Services, because he refused to show his ID.
Yes, this man could have shown his ID and perhaps avoided all the hooplah, but one should never be scared or to defend their rights, especially if they feel they might subject themselves to more of the same abuse if they do.
The incident happened in Sandusky, Ohio.
do they ask illegals for ID???
The guy was completely stupid he could’ve showed him his ID and cleared it all up but they didn’t
I believe all of the training personnel at all of the police departments must review these videos as a training opportunity.
why not show your I d ?why are you fighting the system ?
Because the morrow county sheriffs office has a warrant for his arrest?
What about the active warrant? Or maybe the prior record….I don’t know, if you have nothing to hide, I don’t mind showing id…. But if I had something to hide I’d hide behind boloney !!!!! C’mon get a real story!
The truth of the matter is as a FREE citizen of the United States of America you do not have to prove to the police who you are if you are doing nothing wrong. In communist Germany where my mother grew up the police could stop anyone anytime and demand to see thier papers. Failure to have those identifying documents meant arrest. Your not free if you have to go that. Also in east Germany you had to do things like if you wanted to go visit a friend and spend the night you had to not only inform the police but ask permission. If it’s not legal and the population allows it to happen long enough the precedent will stand.
They will then use that precedent to start enforcing other illegal infringements. It’s a slippery slope. It can not be allowed.
That cop is wrong and I normally take the cops side but he was just arresting that man because he was black.
Yes restraint was used. When enough is enough. Comply thugs obey the law. It’s that simple. Or to jail fight argue or don’t
