Watch this video as a man, Andre Stockett, defends his rights at a routine traffic stop and police try everything they can to make him yield, even threatening to take their 2 week old baby to Child Protective Services, because he refused to show his ID.
Yes, this man could have shown his ID and perhaps avoided all the hooplah, but one should never be scared or to defend their rights, especially if they feel they might subject themselves to more of the same abuse if they do.
The incident happened in Sandusky, Ohio.
this is America the police was wrong but the guy shoulda showed them I d an might not of h
gotten that outa hand
More and more inbred libtard are being hired as cops.
coming to a town near you.
Idiots
have they sued ,yet ??
While they were wasting time and Tax payer dollars for this BS. They could be catching real criminals or even illegals to show their ID.
I lived in Sandusky about 31 years ago. Most of the cops back then where decent, unlike this jerk-off.
I didn’t know we could refuse to show our ID. Why would anyone want to refuse, unless you have something to hide?
There have been quite a few confrontations between police and those who need to show ID in the news lately. I think it’s more when people are stopped for normal traffic stops, those in the car are refusing and calling the traffic stop racist profiling since the Brown debacle, and cops are retaliating badly. Both are at fault, and it’s getting out of hand. Cops need to be more tolerant of the atmosphere lately, and those pulled over need to obey the police request… and if their credentials/ID are not already in plain view, explain where they are and slowly retrieve them. Police are jumpy, and in some cases justifiably in fear they are reaching for a weapon, but they are trained how to act defensively without the violent attack on the vehicle occupants. Both need to approach any situation with the a peaceful conclusion and no animosity or preceived notions!
