Watch this video as a man, Andre Stockett, defends his rights at a routine traffic stop and police try everything they can to make him yield, even threatening to take their 2 week old baby to Child Protective Services, because he refused to show his ID.
Yes, this man could have shown his ID and perhaps avoided all the hooplah, but one should never be scared or to defend their rights, especially if they feel they might subject themselves to more of the same abuse if they do.
The incident happened in Sandusky, Ohio.
Sad people just want to start stupid acts like this just do save your self lots of problems
Wth? Seriously? Some people need to be sued, fired and locked up and I don’t mean the couple that are being abused by these police.
Show your ID, problem solved. He escalated the situation by being a jerk.
That is just so much BS and the police wonder why people do not respect them anymore. It’s just turning into a police state!!!!
Why would anyone refuse to show? If you have nothing to hide, why not show it??
LOUD MOUTH IDIOT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING IF THE BABY WAS 2 WEEKS OLD….WHAT A MAN (NOT)..Yeah, I was driving that soon, BUT.
If a punkass officer gives you ANY kind of c**p and you know he’s in the wrong ALWAYS demand a supervisor be called out!! We have one renegade officer in our town (a young punk) and the word is out on him. My boss got harassed by him last week and asked for the supervisor. The supervisor got there and was not happy with his punk. He chewed him out inside the patrol car and you could hear him yelling at the punk. I called out a supervisor on this same little nazi months ago. The supervisor apologized and they left in a hurry. I don’t know if he’s fired yet but he soon will be because everyone is going to start asking for a sup. from now on if stopped by him.
Nothing wrong, illegal, or unconstitutional took place. They clearly states that they conducted the traffic stop because he matched the description of a wanted subject. If he would have shown ID and wasn’t the subject that he was believed to be he would have been released in a matter of minutes. But the fact that he willfully refused to keep his identity a secret further raises suspicion and at that point he can be legally arrested. Also you don’t have to have any reason once so ever to have a K9 conduct an exterior search of a vehicle at which time all passengers Have to exit the vehicle. But that’s not the case. The stop was an investigative stop based on the passenger matching the description of a wanted subject.
Anytime anyone is pulled over, you must produce your valid drivers license and owners card and possibly insurance card. If he hadn’t been so nasty, none of this would have taken place. I do not blame the police for getting frustrated by his defiance and for being obnoxious.
These idiots should be looking for TERRORISTS, not demeaning innocent citizens. THROW THEM OUT
