Jamal Jones, his girlfriend Lisa Mahone, and their two children, 14 and 7, were going to a hospital to visit Lisa’s dying mother.
Cops stopped them who state that they pulled the family over because Mahone was not wearing her seat belt. After she showed her ID and insurance they asked for Jamal’s ID, who was the passenger.
Shortly after he stated he didn’t have it due to receiving a ticket, cops asked that he get out of the vehicle, which he refused to do.

bad cops and bad government
No sir! They don’t! Not Without probable cause and not without warrant As long as individuals aren’t immediately involved in a crime. But if a citizen is evasive during questioning, the LEO’S will take that into consideration, especially if they are undergoing a felony investigation. Still they cannot “take someone In for nothing….like in Nazi Germany, Keep in mind all city, county, state and federal LEO’S have their own laws and methodologies AND, they all have their own interpretation of the Constitution. This is where the disparity begins. Texas laws
May emphasize border effectiveness. Whereas New York may emphasize a money laundering syndicate pursuit. Each area of the country interpret scenarios differently…with emphasis given on the crimes that are predominant in their own individual area. It’s just the way it is. Some authorities are loose cannons. some are heel and toe lock step.
None can be perfect for the simple reason that they are dealing with human nature on either side of the law.
The best criminal justice on earth is right here in the U.S. All we can ever do at this point is to refine it and bring it more closely centered on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I reiterate each city, county and state, FEDS
have their own citizens that structure their own individual law enforcement agency. The citizens are the ones giving power and authority to their own enforcement of laws via the police, deputy, state troopers or Federal agents. If law enforcement techniques are to be questioned, the city councils, state and federal congressmen and judiciary offices need to be brought to bare their reasoning by their in enforcement agencies, whether through court or by being sued by individuals for punitive damages for unconstitutional abuse or human and civil rights abuse. These agencies understand being sued…especially when millions are being sought in punitive damages. And the US is just about the only country in the world that still entertains such lawsuits. In closing I want to say this about governments and their enforcement agencies..it all comes down to the budget. Most all LEO agencies are short handed. This puts the officers in field under maximum pressure. If city, county, state and federal agencies would spend all of the necessary funds to hire more officers, more time can be used to utilize effective community policing and not this hurry hurry hurry from one call to the next as fast as your wheels will turn. This is where you have innocent victims injured or God forbid, killed. When you are supplied amply with enough officers, show up time will decrease to a minimum. Governments are the underlying causal factors of poor policing, and great policing! Depending on how much they want to spend to protect their environs.
I can only speak as an experienced LEO and Criminal Justice Major. I’ve seen studies and reports on these issues and it’s always money first. They will cover up with some other excuse, but the budgets most of the time dictates the level of policing that a community woo receive. An educated police agency will cost more than an agency in training with a young force. Some just look for warm bodies that can drive and half assed shoot. Some create and monitor community policing effectiveness of every shift with continual monitoring of problems that may arise and want to understand causal patterns of ongoing issues. Others don’t even understand what I just said.
Well they should show their ID !!!!!! OBEY THE LAW , THEM YOU WONT HAVE A PROBLEM!!
Passengers don’t have to show id to ride in a car. Violation of his 4th ammendment right.
should have complied with the officer in the first place then this wouldnt have happened
The one who is driving has to show ID not the passengers !
Seriously. Just show the cop ur id. Duh
1. do not harm another human being
2. do not damage anyone elses property
3. do not create fraud or mischief in your contracts
– if you do any of those three things, then you have broken the law. thats the only way to break the law. police have no immunity, its their duty to understand law. failure to differentiate between STATUTE and LAW is gross negligence which is equivalent to fraud in a common law jurisdiction
Cops are trained to take control of any situation. They will escalate in a nanosecond. If a cop asks for your ID, give it to him/her. If a cop tells you to stop. Put your hands in the air. Go to your knees … the appropriate response IS NOT to turn around and rush the officer. You can guess how this confrontation went, Cop, “May I have your driver’s license?” Thug, “F**K you”, rolls up window. Cop, draws knight stick, “Sir, give me your license, NOW.” Thug, “F**K you Mutha F**ker!” Cop shatters window draws tazer (could have just as easily drawn pistol). Thug, “Mutha F**ker! I’m gonna kill … thhhtsdakbdllleiiebflabf;ahishdffhg (that’s the effect of 50,000 volts coursing through your body).” It would have been a lot easier to just respectfully hand the officer the ID. The thug got less than what he asked for. He could have been given 115 grains of supersonic copper jacketed lead into his already empty cranium. He got off easy with only 50,000 volts and a broken window.
That is going a tad overboard on being a cop. he Is no following procedure at all he should have to pay any bills for the damage he has done to these people’s vehicle plus pay extra for scaring the bajeebers out of them
