Jamal Jones, his girlfriend Lisa Mahone, and their two children, 14 and 7, were going to a hospital to visit Lisa’s dying mother.
Cops stopped them who state that they pulled the family over because Mahone was not wearing her seat belt. After she showed her ID and insurance they asked for Jamal’s ID, who was the passenger.
Shortly after he stated he didn’t have it due to receiving a ticket, cops asked that he get out of the vehicle, which he refused to do.

They DO have a right to see ID.
Because you have athug disrespectful attitude. Learn respect you earn respect.
Me disrespectful lol you have no basis for that claim
No they don’t have authority to just take you in jeffrey unless you have committed a crime.
Looks like another set up.
Terry vs ohio. Yes jeffrey they have the right to ask but one has a right to refuse unless they can provide specifically what crime you have committed and if you are being detained if not then your free to go unless your opperating a motor vechile then you have to show licence registration etc.
Terry vs ohio I prefer to not live in a police state
Why can’t I like this response 1000 times? Totally agree with you Nancy. The side of the road is not the place to hold court. Whether or not you think you’re right, at a traffic stop, you are required to show your ID.
Obey the law and keep your window….
Sure hope you aren’t one of these cowards that’s forsure Jonathan Alexander Arteaga
