Donald Trump was elected in no small part due to his promise to drain the swamp that is Washington D.C., but it looks like Congress has other plans.
Honestly, it shouldn’t be a surprise at all, as the populist conservative faced an unprecedented amount of opposition from legislators during his campaign for the presidency. Not only did Democrats criticize him, but leading members of his own party like John McCain, Paul Ryan, and Lindsey Graham regularly attacked him, with the former two offering tepid endorsements of him only to promise to squash any attempts by Trump to enact his agenda once he took office.
Now that Trump is set to be sworn in as president in just over a week, Congress is frantically doing everything it can to secure its power and privileges before he comes in and cleans up shop.

You do know that the president is very limited on what he can do by himself. Congress has to write the bills. As we all know they did very little of that in the last eight years. No matter what happens he has to work with these people to make anything happen. He can’t fire them and he can’t tell them to what to do. He is not their boss. We will see how well he can adjust to this premice.
Get rid of all incumbents that signed this horror and then remove the bill.
We all know Congress is corrupt, a do nothing but take lobbyist money for votes. Too much vacation, over-paid, too many percs, very little work and never, ever listened to what the people who put them in office wanted because it involved them doing their job. Congress is part of the swamp that needs cleaning.
They shouldnt be allowed to hide their records and if they do, should automatically be expelled from office
You can’t have your cake and eat it too as they say Congress .. ethical oversight is a part of your job. …Yep you have to walk the straight and narrow .. or resign ..Drain the Swamp
All of congress should be fired for this
