Although it is important that we question everything we read, it is just as important that we do not let the government control what we read.
Thanks to unprecedented advances in technology, people are able to access information at rates and levels that would have been unimaginable even a couple decades ago. We can store information that would have taken entire libraries to fill in times past on devices no bigger than our hands today, and transmit it faster than anyone could have dreamed of. This has made it possible for ordinary people to not just find news, but disseminate it as well.
The downside of this is that since everybody can share news, anybody can, leading to misleading and even outright false stories spreading. Even worse, this gives the busybodies in Washington a pretext to exert their control over alternative media.

I love what Denzel Washington said, “If you don’t read the paper, you are uninformed, if you do read the paper, you are misinformed” — he definitely was talking about the WAPO and the NYT !!!!!!!!!!!!! Just another example in a long line of examples as to why I am smarter and happier not being a Democrat ……….
Wow does it still have to less the house?
Corporations telling people how to live through govenment control.. this was predicted and so called democracy lets it happen
I’m sure this is more f**e news. Congress is not even in session now.

Be careful what you wish for…there is danger here, and Obama set the stage for propaganda, f**e news, taqiyya, blatant LIES, and media shills. Now the shoe is on the other foot, and the precedents YOU libs allowed, in your blind, partisan ignorance, may come back to bite you on the @ss! I warned many of you that you were arrogantly taking “the short view,” but you allowed it…now you can reap what YOU’ve sown…
