When Congress passed the Intelligence Authorization Act for 2015, it granted the executive branch not only the ability to spy on American citizens private communications, but also the legal authority to turn that information over to local law enforcement.
All of this can be done without any court order being granted, all in the name of ‘fighting terror’, of course.
MOVE TO PAGE 2:
That would require them to do some work! Lol
Read the story this is from 2015
Wow just like the excuse cops will give to search your car because they claim to smell mearjuana they can spy on you because they say it’s fighting terrorism wtf any excess is acceptable now
Traitors to freedom.
No, it isn’t a “typical Republican responses”; Have been for years and feel/beleive the Patriot Act is one of the greatest violations, and perjury of everyone’s oath that signed on to it. So stop branding ever Republican as such; I know lots of everyday working Democrats I respect; it is the Dem. elitist purveyors, as well Republicans that we both should fear.
When it comes to national security! Trump was right. Courier is safest way to pass messages. No Phone / No Computer . Top secret info can’t b hacked. Communication via phone can also b compromised.
James Sensenbrenner, (R-WI) the author of the Patriot Act complained a couple years ago that the Legislation he wrote was being used in ways he could not have conceived. This is a lie. He was WARNED things like this could happen. I will brand the GOP as the as such, typically hypocritical because in 2001, you could hold up three fingers to signify the number of House Republicans who opposed the Patriot Act. Their names were Bob Ney, Butch Otter, and Ron Paul.
The shock expressed by T and A and some of it’s readers in this thread is false indignance .
Yea 16 years ago
