Military veteran and painter, Lee Bowerman, is being asked by Colorado Veterans Administration to paint over a section of his war mural that contains an image of the Confederate flag.
The mural is a beautifully drawn representation of American history that spans all American wars, from the Revolutionary War, to current conflicts in the Middle East.

Why, has what OUR ancestors believed and theirs before them suddenly unimportant? They believed in them so much that their blood is spilled on this soil. They gave everything. Do we believe that we are wiser now than they were then? Now right is wrong??

As a nurse I do have understanding of this flag issue. They teach you in school that if you think an issue is wrong, follow the orders to the letter everyone until everyone sees how really bad the decision is. Then they can put the confederate flag back on the South Carolina government steps
