The small town of Nucla, Colorado, with a population of 750, passed the state’s first and only municipal ordinance in 2014 requiring heads of households to own guns and ammo, “in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the town and its inhabitants.”
“We more or less kind of wanted to give criminals a heads up. Stay out of this town. We’re armed,” stated board member Richard Craig.
Move on to the next page:
…mandatory gun ownership would work. What I find most people guilty of is fear, not a longing for a safety.
Since the earnest criminals and other psychos are already armed. It might take a few months for them to be weeded out (attrition), but once that was over, well…
“An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.”
– Robert A. Heinlein
“Just what the hell are people so afraid of, anyway?”
Should e that way all across the country.

It’s an Awsome ideal but no one should have to have a gun just put one of them cute gun free home signs outside so we know who’s gonna need our help when trouble comes to town!!

Very wise move.
seems like another tax to me. anytime the government says you must buy something it’s a tax, or at least that’s what Obamacare critics say.
Good for them. A town with some gumption!!!
