The small town of Nucla, Colorado, with a population of 750, passed the state’s first and only municipal ordinance in 2014 requiring heads of households to own guns and ammo, “in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the town and its inhabitants.”
“We more or less kind of wanted to give criminals a heads up. Stay out of this town. We’re armed,” stated board member Richard Craig.

Now they’ll fire the Police. Sounds like a GOP plan to me!
Jay, No reason to take such a democratic stand on EVERYTHING my friend.
I just see the writing on the Wall my friend. Ice is great!
COOL, I can’t get back till thursday, Have a great trip and Happy Holidays.
Your crazy if you don’t own one in Texas
I own guns but I don’t feel the need to walk around in public with them blatantly out in the open. If you feel the need to walk around Wal Mart with an AR-15 strapped to your back you probably have a small dick and an inferiority complex.
An armed society is a polite society.
Armed and polite indeed… (but not walking around in public with the M4 on my back) and equipped with an adequately sized dick, William Childress, but thank you for your interest….
I wish this whole country could go back to its fundamental beliefs. Decrease the police forces by about 80% increase firearms in the home. When I was in 7th grade my school had shooting competitions with 22 rifle and you were graded on it in P. E. Every student truck in the high school parking lot had a rifle and or shotgun in the rear window on a gun rack.
Every town should pass a law like this one. The Japanese never even considered invading the U.S.because they knew there were so many people in this country who had and knew how to use guns.
