The small town of Nucla, Colorado, with a population of 750, passed the state’s first and only municipal ordinance in 2014 requiring heads of households to own guns and ammo, “in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the town and its inhabitants.”
“We more or less kind of wanted to give criminals a heads up. Stay out of this town. We’re armed,” stated board member Richard Craig.
Move on to the next page:
oh yeah!! let ‘s all move– as they say…” Maintaining a peaceful existence through superior fire power…”
I used to haul my rifle around in the back window of my pickup (remember those window gun racks) and never had a problem or pulled over for it.
That’s right Wayne. We all did it and not one teacher/student got shot. But then again, we didn’t have “Gun Free Zones”
This is as much a violation of the 2nd amendment as not letting someone own a gun.
I love this idea. Crime rate would drop like a southern belle with the “vapors”! Stupid “bangers” would know their chances were a whole lot slimmer.
no “visiting rioter/protestor/looter/arsonists in Nucla…imagine that
I can remember when I was first old enough to hunt..I took my unloaded rifle in a case , got on the school bus with a note from Mom, set it next to the bus driver.. took it to school, checked it into the office..after school, did the same thing on my cousin’s bus, got off the bus with the rifle at his house and went hunting.. Now if you even say the word “Gun” you would be suspended and the police called.. I guess times do change.
just as bad as obamacare, no one should ever be forced to buy anything that they dont want to.
Good for that small town.
How do you figure that, George Rainha?
