The small town of Nucla, Colorado, with a population of 750, passed the state’s first and only municipal ordinance in 2014 requiring heads of households to own guns and ammo, “in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the town and its inhabitants.”
“We more or less kind of wanted to give criminals a heads up. Stay out of this town. We’re armed,” stated board member Richard Craig.
Move on to the next page:
Kennesaw, Georgia, does, too.
Adam Quinn, it is a federal felony for a felon to own a gun now.
You folks need to visit Nucla-Naturita Area Chamber of Commerce, and stop by and see the Mayor Dawna Morris.
Gary Rominger has apparently never heard of Switzerland.
The precedent has been set. Obamacare came about on the basis that “health care is a right”. As such, it is MANDATORY that everyone have health insurance. Using that logic, gun ownership is actually a right, enumerated in the Constitution. So it should be mandatory that all citizens own a gun. If you can’t afford one, the government will be happy to subsidize your purchase of one.
If you van mandate the exercise of one right (alleged right), then why can’t you mandate all of them?
And probably are pissing and moaning about the federal gov mandating that you buy health insurance…..
Owning a gun is one thing, but being able to handle it responsibly is another.
Yeah baby, love living in Colorado!
So do I Robert so do I.
