The small town of Nucla, Colorado, with a population of 750, passed the state’s first and only municipal ordinance in 2014 requiring heads of households to own guns and ammo, “in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the town and its inhabitants.”
“We more or less kind of wanted to give criminals a heads up. Stay out of this town. We’re armed,” stated board member Richard Craig.

Just curious.. How do they plan to enforce such a law. I mean I realize there are not that many people in the town, and most may already have guns, but is the purpose just to let any criminals think they are all packing. Kennesaw’s law appears to allow you to opt out if it goes against your religion, or exempts you if you are a criminal (like that will stop them), or if you are not able to use a weapon. How is it regulated?
They won’t regulate it. It’s just a message to the commies that the rights of the citizens in that town will be protected. Good message!
Would like that here in LA. Would purchase a nice upgraded M1 and maybe a Colt .45. Used to be a pretty fair shot, at 25, 50, 100, and 300 yards.
Do they have any houses for sale??? I mite move!
