Veteran Tyler Truitt has been told by the city of Huntsville, Alabama that they can no longer live in their off-the-grid home because their trailer is not hooked up to the city’s utilities system, making it ‘unsafe’.
The 27-year-old and his girlfriend are living completely independent of city utilities – utilizing solar panels and catching rainwater on their 2 acre property.
Huntsville officials have filed suit against Truitt and told him he will be arrested for trespassing should he set foot on his property.

Uh….why???
It’s a choice n if that’s his then so be it.
If that is the case then they need to arrest any Utility Company for shutting off services for any reason. They are putting people’s lives at risk for not providing the utility – since it is just so unsafe to live without them. SMH.
Bs to much goverment
That is purely political ,leave them alone.
Wtf? Where did our freedom go?
Just like obummer care ,they want a cut of your money!
Are they gonna tell all the homeless they can’t be homeless?
Yes, they already are! In several states, it is illegal to be homeless. They are being rounded up and given the option of going to jail or a FEMA ‘shelter.’ aka ‘Re-education Camp’
Surely there is some help out there for him, I hope so.
The electricity is not the problem. From what I understand, his property is inside city limits and has deed restrictions. I believe the main issue is the fact that he is not connected to sewer or a septic.
