When does filming one’s neighbor require a police officer to draw his sidearm? Don McComas, a Rohnert Park resident, was outside his home, hooking his boat up to his SUV, when he noticed a police officer observing is house. McComas began filming when it appeared that his license plate was being called in. What happened next makes utterly no sense.

Nice way to get more than you bargained for , provoking a police officer these days is not very smart, too many crazies think they are above the law, this one was lucky
Neal Kirkman you are completely wrong. He does not have to take his hand out of his pocket. He committed no crime and he wasn’t being su$#%&!@*ious in any way. He was on his own property filming. Since when is filming being su$#%&!@*ious of a crime. You’re an idiot
Definitly abuse of power/ intimidation but if the department has it out for you keep a low profile. Video taping is extremly irritating and escalates everything.
Taser, repeat.
Wow, I’m happy to see police cruisin’ my neighborhood! But then again, the man seems to have had a few run-ins before. There must be more to the story.
This is an idiot trying to start something and wanting to get the media involved. He wants to try to accuse police of corruption and is probable planning on doing something illegal or already has. I don’t blame him for pulling his gun out and if he requests for you to pull your hands out of your pocket you should obey. He has to protect himself. He probably wants to get a case against police and try to win a settlement. Something for nothing. I find his actions warrant the officers causation. You fella are a trouble maker and a clown with no common sense. Have a great day dummy.
Anthony I can’t agree or disagree, we all saw a short edit of what is obviously an ongoing situation. My point is simply if u refuse to comply, whether or not the officer is correct, the fact that u refused is considered to b legal grounds for resisting. If u have nothing to hide, then why hide anything? How can this b so hard for all of u to understand? I’m in no way in favor of increased police presence or of power tripping badge toters broadening their scope of interaction, HOWEVER I also find no need for anyone to bait police into an encounter where they film it, edit out a short clip, and use it to inflame all these tiny minds… Resorting to name calling…. Good laffs guys! Out…
Is this really what you believe?
This was pure escalation and intimidation on the part of the officer, he knew he was wrong and had that smile the whole time. He was enjoying pushing this guy and looking for an excuse to fire.
On his property not commuting any crimes, he can do whatever he wants. The “officer” did everything possible to escalate the situation and attack a man on his own property.
