When does filming one’s neighbor require a police officer to draw his sidearm? Don McComas, a Rohnert Park resident, was outside his home, hooking his boat up to his SUV, when he noticed a police officer observing is house. McComas began filming when it appeared that his license plate was being called in. What happened next makes utterly no sense.

Neal, and those attempting to back him up need to attempt to understand the law before trying to comment on it. Whatever the backstory between this officer, and the individual filming is it is irrelevant. What can be seen clearly on this video is an officer abusing his authority, and creating an unsafe situation by pulling a firearm for no reason. This officer, his department, and the city as a whole need to be held accountable for such actions. I FULLY support LEO’s doing their job in a legal, professional manner. This was neither.
People Need to CoOPERATE with the Police. If i was The Cop i would Have taken Him Down With My taser and Arrested him For Failing to Cooperate after failing the Cameraman failed to Remove his Hand from His Pocket. Many Police Officers Have lost their Lives for Trusting that The People around them Did Not have a Weapon and Did. I think people like the cameraman are Instigational, and Are Provoking Police. I think the Cameraman Should Have been arrested for Failing to Cooperate.
As a sgt. At the sheriffs dept the officer was completely wrong!
Bull c**p
Quit being idiots and give some respect to officers who put there lives on the line every day to serve and protect.
Both $#%&!@* heads.
Lol yes Bulls do c**p, or were you trying to say something else and are at a loss of words????
Well Neal, i would love to insult your ignorance. But you have someone who fought for my freedom in your family so I will refrain from childish dirty dozenning you.
We now have cops hired right out the sandbox who have not acclimatized themselves to our country and the freedom they fight for. L.E.O. just killed a guy surrounded by L.E.Os because he had a hammer in his hand and that scared him(L.E.O.) so bad they shot and killed him(CRIMINAL). HATE,to see what L.E.O. would do if i had a slingshot.
That is the point of this, conversation. L.E.O. DONE GOT OUT OF PROPER PERSPECTIVE. WHICH IS TO PROTECT AND SERVE
There are proper ways to handle this, which include an attorney and a court of law. Posting comments on social media with partial truths is not an appropriate way to determine wrong-doing on the police officer’s behalf, and ultimately puts lots of law-abiding police officers at risk. shame on you for perpetuating a war on policemen. You will be the first one crying when anarchy takes hold, and you are violated by criminals. You suck!
Neal, you’re absolutely wrong
