No more sneaking outside candy into the movie theater! The Regal Entertainment Group is now doing bag checks of patrons coming to enjoy a movie and a bag of popcorn. Contraband candy and gun checks are now part of Regal Cinemas policy because of the shooting last month at the Louisiana theater.
The Regal Entertainment Group stated that it desires that it’s staff and customers to feel safe and comfortable, therefore it instituted the new policy. Many customers are critical about the logistics of how this will actually help and what would happen if a teen ticket taker actually finds a patron toting a gun.

They charge enough for tickets, they should be able to afford more than teens getting minimum wage at the doors selling and taking tickets.

Security guards? Can’t go to a courthouse without being screened now…no one has ever been killed in one in the offices that I recall. Plenty have at a cinema.
This really funny and scary. Trust your families protection to the counter person serving you popcorn, candy and a drink. I feel safer already.
So take my privacy n freedom? I can go elsewhere
You stop it by having Carry permit signs posted that you will allow the good citizens to protect themselves.
BOYCOTT it is an illegal act
I am not going to the movie chain. It is going to be an unsafe place to be. Thanks you morons for advertising that you are a gun fee zone. Do you think the bad guys care?
Hope ppl who make these rules are next ones sho
