With silent permission from the press, Antifa has continued their assault on free speech across the United States. Their most recent riot — which toppled a Confederate monument in North Carolina — garnered a response from President Donald Trump.
“Are we going to take down statues to George Washington?” the president asked at a press conference on Tuesday.
The question was an apparent reference to George Washington’s ownership of slaves. When he was eleven, he was willed ten slaves in his father’s will. He acquired more when he married his wife, Martha Washington.
Now that leftist groups are attacking Confederate monuments, many — including Trump — are wondering when they’ll go after American icons who preceded the civil war.
The time, it seems, is now.
See what one Chicago pastor said about George Washington on the next page:
A very unintelligent comment. This slavery thing has gone on way too long. I don’t think there is one person in the US that is or was a slave, and the fact your ancestors were 150 years is a rather lame excuse for whining and causing problems now.
Were you a slave and are you a slave to evil read your Bible what it teaches about love and peace
Black people have also owned slaves. Washington is a big part of American History. This pastor isn’t.
Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard!
That so called Pastor is full of hate and should not be preaching !!
Child molester or a race baiter good choice so called pastor
Run his family history if you can , you might find where his ancestors owned slaves too ! Al Sharpton’s family did !
Right replace with Michael Jackson the child molester
Replace with riot inciter or pedophile?
Give it a rest already people get over it if you focus on the past you miss the future so grow the hell up
