You would think that being arrested for drug possession and being the primary suspect in a murder case would torpedo anybody’s chances of holding public office, much less getting re-elected, but this was not the case for Robert “Coop” Battle, an East Chicago 3rd District Councilman.
Already under scrutiny by the police for a traffic stop earlier this year in which he was found to be carrying 73 pounds of marijuana and more than $100,000 in his car, Battle finds himself under investigation for the October 12th shooting death of Reimundo Camarillo Jr, with police believing him to be the culprit.

Shows the Mentality of teh Voters they get what they Vote For, a CROOK!!!!!
As I said, never, ever, overestimate the intelligence of the average American voter.
This isn’t Chicago, not that it’s any different there.
Good example of where this nation is headed!
And you wonder why crime is so high in Chicago? The same mentality will vote for Hillary.
America is a reprobate nation, she’s getting what she deserves, because she hates God.
WELL ITS CHICAGO
Here in Ct Ganim who went to jail for corruption got re elected as mayor. Goes to show that people complain about corruption yet vote it into office.
Land of Obama…makes sense.
Good job Chicago
