It seems very likely that Chelsea Clinton plans to follow in her parents’ footsteps and pursue a career in politics. Whether those ambitions might eventually reach to attempting a run at the presidency remains to be seen. What also remains to be seen is if she is any good at politics. The unspoken question that might be asked is whether she intends to employ the strategies of her parents that landed them in so much controversy. Yet, we get ahead of ourselves in these speculations.
Back to her current activities. She and her two-year old daughter were participants in the recent “Today, I am a Muslim, Too” demonstrations in New York City.
Among the protesters filling Time Square in New York City for the “Today, I Am a Muslim Too” event on Sunday was a first-time protester: Chelsea Clinton’s 2-year-old daughter, Charlotte.
The former First Daughter and only child of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton took to Twitter to post a photo of the scene and share that Charlotte was also participating in the rally held in response to the executive order President Donald Trump signed that put a temporary ban on travelers from seven countries with predominantly Muslim populations and refugees from all nations.
“Thank you to all who organized #IAmAMuslimToo today – Charlotte’s 1st protest rally. #NoBanNoWallNoRaids,” Chelsea captioned a snap featuring a popular protest sign that shows a woman wearing an American flag hijab.

Here are some of the comments of the organizer. Do not misunderstand the thanks he offers to President Trump; he implies by that comment that Mr. Trump’s ban on immigration is the reason they have come together to protest.
The protest was organized in part by hip hop mogul Russell Simmons, who spoke to the crowd with an American flag backdrop.
“We are here today to show middle America our beautiful signs and, through our beautiful actions and intention, that they have been misled,” Simmons told the crowd on the warm February afternoon.
“We are here unified because of Donald Trump,” he said. “We want to thank him for bringing us together.”

“We have to acknowledge there’s a change in our country. We have been fighting Islamophobia for many years, but there is a shift towards more hate crimes and more hate,” Simmons added Sunday. “But at the same time, we have to recognize there’s also an acknowledgement of that hate and a connectivity that it brings, and a partnership and unity that it brings, so we can have this lovefest today.”
If she were a stupid girl, Chelsea could be forgiven for getting caught up in this. But she is not, and hence has chosen the same disingenuous path that her parents have so ably pursued.
Forced to live under Islamic law such as what prevails in Saudi Arabia, Chelsea would no doubt be horrified and miserable. However, if an ideology that so opposes what the left stands for in terms of gay rights, women’s rights, and the practice of their faith can be used by Chelsea to advance her political career, so be it.
Sadly, it would seem that she intends to pursue her political career using the same fraudulent set of principles employed by her parents. She has learned well.
