Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer won office after campaigning to improve ethics and integrity under his governorship. When people noticed his outrageous expense reports to the notorious escort agency, Emperors Club VIP, and other shifty transactions, the FBI launched an investigation into the money transfers. The FBI discovered Spitzer had spent $80,000 on prostitutes! Despite the mounting evidence, he was never prosecuted for any involvement in prostitution, but in the end he did resign from office.
