All life is sacred. The lives of twin boys born at 23 weeks, who fought ferociously for life: sacred. The life of a fifty year old woman fighting for life through pancreatic cancer: sacred. The lives of the students killed at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon: sacred. Christians being beheaded by ISIS: sacred lives.
Legislation which protects all life, premature life and suffering life, seems to be the moral choice, yet, the answer is not simple. Governor Brown, in California, has signed the right-to-die legislation on Monday, making California the fifth state to allow terminally ill patients to end their lives through physician prescribed drugs.
Page two delves into this legislation.
Make sure this already dead communist is first in line !
Democrats really seem to focus on death.
Well said Sabrina
The sanctity of life is precious in God’s eyes. First they approve killing the unborn and now move to include the elderly and infirm.
Start with the Hollywood Left.
I think the law is more absolving the doctors/caregivers involved of any liability for criminal charges. I also thought there were supposed to be stipulations in these cases where insurance policies could not be denied for terminal patients who chose to die this way.
I watched my mother suffer and waste away, I refuse to do the same. My body, my choice. But I also think the new law is more geared towards absolving the doctors/caregivers involved of any liability for criminal charges. I also thought there were supposed to be stipulations in these laws where insurance policy payouts could not be denied to beneficiaries for terminal patients who chose to die this way.
no surprise here
Oh, well I will throw out an argument that we’ll make us all think before we celebrate the right to die decision. Who is the “executioner ” of that decision? what rights do we give to care givers & health care workers with that decision?! Violations & border line murders have been already happening with helpless & gravely ill people or simply old people… There is a circle of life that we need to take into consideration. We fearlessly fight for lives of unborn children while our opponents try to defend abortion as the only way to terminate unwanted pregnancy. We fight for the rights of those who cannot fight for themselves. The same is with our aging population: we hear that they are becoming a burden on our society or our healthcare. Hello, didn’t they work enough & contributed enough to our society??!! Worked, raised their children, paid taxes. Why don’t we fight for their final rights to be taken care of??!! I hear democrats/demagogs those tree huggers giving the “humanitarian” defense of this decision comparing humans to dogs. Lovely! The decision to end a human life should be seriously considered & given the utmost attention. No violation, greed or other low interests should prevail. The panel of medical professionals & not the insurance administrators claiming that benefits are expiring should make this life&death decision. Trust me, there are too many cases of murder under pretense of
God be with us alll.
