Do you know what is similar between a gun and a chicken? Well in North Carolina just like when you buy a gun you have to have a record of buying it, with a chicken you have to register it with the Department of Agriculture. Instead of being able to freely own chickens as part of a self-sufficient way of life, you now have Big Brother breathing down your neck.

Here in Pittsburgh, Pa. you must pay $40,00 for a permit to have 4 hens.
Jesus how is my chickens going to stop avian flu? Lol you’re an idiot. There’s birds flying over my property daily. I’ll register if they drop dead! This paranoia is ridiculous. We’re all supposed to be dead from Ebola, mad cow, west Nile, etc. wake up! It’s a distraction!
It all starts as a “good idea” then it gets used against us! And why do we need to register rain barrels?
Oh c’mon, will they ha chicken police
If your birds get AI and you go to a feed store etc the virus is carried on your clothes and shoes and can spread to other farms. It is hard to stop AI completely but you can stop the spread of it to other farms. If you get it in your flock all birds will die. If you don’t care about your flock or your neighbors then don’t do anything
Strange how we have BIRD FLU, SWINE FLU, DOG FLU, YRLY PEOPLE FLU…..time to Admit….ITS OUR GOVT AT PLAY!!! Stop being played !!!
