Diatomaceous Earth will kill any insect with an exoskeleton, like cockroaches, bed bugs, ants, fleas, etc. by compromising their waxy coating and destroying their internal organs through dehydration.
Yet, you can eat diatomaceous earth. In fact, you do all the time in grain based foods because DE is added by companies as a bug killer.

Does anyone know if it works on termites?

Nuclear bombradiation wont kill a $#%&!@*aroach, but a little DE will…very interesting…thanks for the info. When I was in Okinawa in 1978, I saw a $#%&!@*aroach there that was like 4-5 inches long. Must have had armor plating because I stepped on it 4 times with my combat boots, before it finally died…was shocked when I put all my weight on it the first time, and when I removed my boot…it took off running like nothing happened…$#%&!@*aroaches will rule the earth one day…
We just rub it in their hair Teresa…
Borax does the same thing. You can buy it at Walmart in the laundry detergent aisle.
You need to edible form, put the powder down the backbone ane rub it into coat..it helps and is non toxic..keep away from face and eyes thougn. Use once a week for 3 or 4 weeks and it helps a bunch.
