Diatomaceous Earth will kill any insect with an exoskeleton, like cockroaches, bed bugs, ants, fleas, etc. by compromising their waxy coating and destroying their internal organs through dehydration.
Yet, you can eat diatomaceous earth. In fact, you do all the time in grain based foods because DE is added by companies as a bug killer.

also at most feed store’s. use to put this on goat’s to keep down tick’s.
Most common mistake made is people put waaaaay too much. You need it so fine you can barely see it or bed bugs and roaches will avoid it.

pool supply store. DE makes for a high quality pool filter too
Works great on carpet to get rid of fleas….
I read up on it a few years ago too when we had flea issues with one of our cats and the boys were just babies. I wanted something that wouldn’t hurt the boys, but I could use to treat the house. I don’t remember what we ended up doing – but I had liked the idea of this. It works in a physical way to kill the fleas – not chemically.
Thanks Melanie McCool
