Sweet Cakes by Melissa, the bakery renowned for standing for one’s religious beliefs, is refusing to pay the $135,000 fine levied by the Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian.
The gay couple who refused to take their wedding cake order elsewhere, filed suit against the Kleins, when their religious convictions about gay marriage hurt the feelings of Laurel and Rachel Bowman-Cryer. Read more on page 2.

Oh, right when the last republican was president, we were so well protected that Saudis crashed jets into buildings killing what, 3000 people. Then the Bush administration helped Osama bin Laden’s family get out of the United States, the day after, because of their partnership in oil businesses. Then he chose to invade Iraq, and lied to the American people about the whole thing, how many people died from that. Then the Republicans crashed the economy. Now the same republicans cut veterans benefits, cut benefits to the 9/11 responders, and hate all the same things you hate. It’s a match made in heaven. But yeah, you go right on thinking progressives are the problem.
Even found on YouTube, that way you don’t have to read since you aren’t that intelligent. Make it a little easier for you.
I know you didn’t have time to read the links I just posted. You know why you didn’t read them? Because you don’t want to hear it. The truth can be hard to swallow.
Like I said, read the Constitution and get back to me. Because you obviously don’t know it or understand it.
And my question to you is….what is the difference between a gay wedding cake and a straight wedding cake? Unless there are the little people on top there is no difference..and even if they had those stupid little people on top you just use Two Brides which you already sell….so again….what is the difference?
If I showed you two wedding cakes side by side could you tell which one was gay?
Like I’m trying to explain to you. If they sell a gay wedding cake they must sell you that cake.
You are suggesting that they refuse to sell them any cake at all. I believe that is incorrect if they have a cake already made and its up for sale and they didn’t sell it to him then they are in the wrong. But if they try to order a cake. That’s where it gets slippery. Do not have to make you a cake. And another thing if they’re selling little men and women in the store individually to customers. They have to sell you as many little men or as many little women as you asked for. But the little men and then Little Women are not actually offered over the counter and they were just something they put on top of their wedding cakes they don’t have to sell them to you
The state would not have known anything about the situation if the couple had just gone to another bakery to do business.
Crystal it is discrimination. How can someone be guilty of breaking an anti-discrimination law if they didn’t discriminate. The court agrees with my interpretation…the state agrees with my interpretation …and yet you remain steadfast in your belief that you have a “right” to discriminate.
Baking a cake is not a sin. Unless they have little people on the top a gay wedding cake and a straight wedding cake are the SAME EXACT THING.
Eric again…without sounding difficult what is the difference between a gay wedding cake and a straight wedding cake?
What is a Gay Wedding Cake? You make it sound like it would be an item on the menu…..
If a business refuses to sell you something because you are homosexual that is discrimination….the business makes cakes….and refused to sell it to a lesbian couple. So again….how is this a “specialty item”?
