Beyonce has long been a favorite at the White House. She sung at both inaugurations. And FLOTUS being a mother of two teen girls would know a good role model, right?
But the Obama’s are known for hobnobbing with those “entertainers” that offend Americans. Let’s go back to 2011, the second week of May, which is “National Police Week” held in Washington D.C. Its a week long event memorializing that year’s fallen officers, and all the previous years. Thousands of family members of these fallen officer’s descend upon the capital to visit the “wall” where their loved one’s name appears. During that week, 2011, May 12th in White House hosted “Common” a rapper and now actor who’s lyrics about a female black panther member wanted for killing a New Jersey patrolman honor her as the victim:
There were lights and sirens, gunshots firin
Cover your eyes as I describe a scene so violent
Seemed like a bad dream, she laid in a blood puddle
Blood bubbled in her chest, cold air brushed against open flesh
No room to rest, pain consumed each breath
Shot twice wit her hands up
Police questioned but shot before she answered
One Panther lost his life, the other ran for his
Scandalous the police were as they kicked and beat her
Comprehension she was beyond, tryna hold on
to life.…
This is about a woman named Assata Skakur–or her real name–Joanne Byron, who had robbed banks, grenaded another police car injuring a patrolman badly, she has a long list of offenses, and is now free in Cuba, still on the FBI’s most wanted list. This man “Common” was right in the White House while outside families were gathering to mourn those killed in the line of duty.
So, the reaction to Michelle’s tweet?

@FLOTUS – I have huge respect for you, First Lady, but in what way is Beyonce a role model? Or a feminist? Not in my books.

@FLOTUS@Beyonce with all due respect, I do not see how a woman who dresses as she does and sings such explicit lyrics is a role model.

@FLOTUS@Beyonce ok so role models to young girls give their husbands lap dances on stage? Seems your idea of a role model is a bit off.
How many days until they move out of the White House? It can’t come too soon.
