The beautiful thing about America is that though its people have myriad differences between themselves and their neighbors, there is room for everybody to live the way they want to. So long as no one is hurt, citizens are free to operate and interact with others as they please. And of course, a big part of living is having a home to one’s liking.
Unfortunately, we have gone from the idea that a person’s home is their castle to the notion that one’s home is just another place for the government to stick its nose into. So not only are the possessions we keep in our houses subjected to their rule, but the very buildings we call home are as well.

You are starting to sound like the Democrats with your God-less heart!
You’re starting sound like a hippie, gimme some of what yer smokin, and maybe I’ll chill out. I’m merrily pointing out the fact I have to pay still have to pay for my house, it’s not quite fair that others get theirs for free.

So living next to dilapidated tents is preferable to living next to tiny homes? You’re brilliant.
I guess you have too experience homelessness too understand. I have been homeless for several years, but I’ve been helping people that are dieing. They are afraid of the next step we have opportunity to help them get there with compation and understanding. I learned that those who have it bad look around there is always a person suffering more than themselves. I do this everyday just to keep going. My soul mate passed away is my drive to help others I guess. They are all gone now, but I’m with and old school friend has copd. He can’t help himself or it’s difficult for him on a daily basis. I stay in my dome tent in the backyard. I would love a little house for sure!!!
I am very angry about this. The homeless need to have a place to live. What is wrong with our city that they would dare to be)sieve that being on the street is better than living in a tiny home. Shame on those who authorized the destruction.
Every one of those people who thought taking these boxes away from the homeless should have to sleep in the streets for a week and feel the pain these people suffer b******t is what I see
